No kiddin', Nan. Good deal. Wish I had been there.

Way to go, Andrew and Chad! Can't wait to hear Country Life on the radio.

It sure seemed like everyone who participated had a good time. Runners up were Eddie Heinzelman, David Norris and Craig Boyd with CRAWL and Kenzie Hruby with COLD DRAFT BEER

I looked up pages for 'em. Chad is from right here in Macon where I am (or close enough to count).

    Congrats to the Winner.

Thanks Nan...your heart is "in the right place"

    IMHO
There were 5 real good songs amongst the 15, won't say cause it's not my place. One or two may poke up their heads elsewhere in the future.

Interesting competition to say the least. Writing to a theme for a particular artist is fraught with problems. (running and gunning to the end ..southern rock)
I had a good time and am quite happy with our song, My Guns Blazin'. Thanks Wes and Rich.

    Neil,
You should be happy and proud of that song! It's tough to not just write on assignment but to write in essentially 1 1/2 days to boot. And the added twist on this one was Andy looking for "southern rock" which seems counter to his track record, so to speak, and then you see how folks have different spins about what that genre entails even combined with the notion that all of us had of comparing things to what he's cut in the past.....It definitely had more layers to it than just sitting down to write like most of us normally would.

Plus, the different takes on what "running and gunning until the end" meant to the different writers. Very interesting.

Kudos to Nan! And the winners! And to ALL the participants and fans that came out to see it!
